Finished Wright Flyer

The float turned out great!!!  We did not win an award, but many people thought it was the best entry.  The rumor is....the guys who won for the best float were seen bribing the judges prior to the parade with coffee and donuts.  Note to self....take coffee and donuts to the parade next year.  Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wright Flyer Project

The chapter is building a replica of the original Wright Flyer to put in the Jefferson City Christmas parade on December 7, 2002.  The guys have been working real hard on the plane and it is looking awesome!!!!  Lanny Crawford designed the plane and offered the use of his shop to construct the plane.  Now if we can find someone to keep the plane for us once it is built we will be in great shape....any volunteers?

1st Annual Fly-in - 06/29/02

On June 29, 2002 the chapter hosted its first annual fly-in at JEF.  The weather was absolutely beautiful and we had about 50 planes fly-in.   The event was great!!  We learned a lot and will apply what we learned to next year's event.  Here are a few pictures of some of the beautiful planes that flew in for the event.  Just click on an image to view a larger picture.
